Lin-Manuel Miranda not only wrote this masterpiece, but he also took on the role of Alexander Hamilton for the shows first run.

The cast of Hamilton, despite taking on the roles of white historical figures, is primarily made up of minority actors. "This is a story about America then, told by America now," says Production creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.
